I got the postcard back…  Married in Red, Part 2 is officially in the Dallas Quilt Celelbration.  Now I can start working on the final version.  So far, I only have the original inspiration and a muslin.  What original inspiration, you ask?

And by the way, I think this is the only good picture I have of the train.

Here is the picture I sent in to the show committee:

Miss Betty there has, not only three petticoats, but a bolster around her hips.  I never seem to make things that hang on her like a normal person.  Poor girl’s always got something like 18 layers of fabric on under the dresses to give her massive hips.

This version, of course, is not the final.  I usually piece it all *after* it’s been quilted, but the rules state that if the entry is not finished, it must as least be all pieced.  So every time I enter something with those rules, I end up making a muslin and photographing that.  Oy vey…
